Dr Iuliu Stan worked in Trauma and Orthopaedics as a locum senior house officer for five years at the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske in Truro from 2015 to 2020.

He was struck off after being found guilty of misconduct by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal, which concluded that he had ‘preyed’ on male patients for his own ‘sexual gratification’. A number of the victims were minors.
