If you have been referred to a hospital by your GP, your condition should be diagnosed in a time frame appropriate to the seriousness of your condition

Misdiagnosis can lead to;

• Further health issues caused by misdiagnosis
• In the worst cases shortened or loss of life

Issues of misdiagnosis are mistakes by clinicians, but you, as the patient should be able to get justice and at the very least an explanation and apology from the hospital trust or department responsible.
