Nursing / Care home workers have a duty to provide a reasonable standard of care to their patients and to act in ways that protect their safety.

On occasion, this duty of care is not upheld and loved ones are neglected. This can manifest in mental and physical negligence and be as simple as a lack of sanitary care. Respect for human life must be observed at all stages of life.
