Losing a baby is heartbreaking. If your baby was stillborn and you have questions about the care you received, you deserve to be listened to with kindness and respect. You do not have to make decisions or explain everything at once.

When you need answers

Some families are concerned about reduced fetal movements, monitoring during pregnancy, delays in responding to complications or decisions made during labour. A stillbirth does not automatically mean that medical care was negligent. However, where there are unanswered questions, an independent specialist review may help establish what happened.

Support for mothers and families

Every family grieves differently. Mothers may also be recovering physically from childbirth while coping with profound loss. Partners, siblings and other loved ones can need support too. We will treat your experience sensitively and respect your wishes about when and how to talk.
