Your Doctor / General Practitioner (GP) is your first point of call when feeling unwell. If your GP does not uphold their duty of care towards you then you may be entitled to claim for GP Negligence.
A GP negligence claim can be brought if your GP has:
- Failed to refer you to a specialist for tests or specialist care
- Failed to diagnose a condition
- Caused prolonged illness by failure to diagnose a condition
- Caused injury within the medical centre due to sub-standard care
- Incorrectly prescribed medicine
- Misdiagnosed a condition leading to a need for further treatment
GP Negligence can have serious consequences for you as the patient. You may be able to bring a claim on behalf of yourself, a minor, or a family member who has passed away if you feel that your GP has been negligent.
