Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms explain how Flybell Limited, trading as Medical Negligence Consultants, provides its free initial assessment and solicitor introduction service.
About us
Medical Negligence Consultants is a trading name of Flybell Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 09549090. Registered office: G01, 9 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7HG. Flybell Limited is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for regulated claims management activities (FRN 836324). We are a claims management company, not a firm of solicitors.
Our free assessment and introduction service
We offer a free initial assessment to people in England and Wales concerned about possible medical negligence. We listen to your circumstances, provide general information about possible next steps and, if appropriate and with your permission, introduce you to a solicitor experienced in the relevant area of medical negligence. We do not provide legal or medical advice, represent you in legal proceedings or guarantee that a solicitor will accept your case.
Our solicitor panel and marketing arrangements
We work with a panel of independent solicitor firms with different medical negligence specialisms. Flybell Limited does not charge or receive fees for individual case referrals. We operate marketing agreements with panel solicitors, under which firms may pay Flybell Limited for genuine marketing services. These are not payments for referring an individual claim. We aim to identify an appropriate solicitor based on the medical issues and the solicitor’s relevant expertise. Our panel is not an exhaustive list of all solicitors available. You remain free to choose a different solicitor or decline any introduction.
No charges to you
Our initial assessment and solicitor introduction service is always free to you. Flybell Limited does not charge you an assessment, referral, withdrawal or cancellation fee. A solicitor you decide to instruct may charge legal fees or agree a No Win No Fee arrangement; the solicitor must explain their own fees, potential deductions, expenses and risks before you enter into a separate agreement. We do not promise that legal services themselves are free.
Your choice and legal representation
You are not required to use a solicitor from our panel, and you do not sign a paid claims management agreement with Flybell Limited as part of our standard assessment and introduction service. If you instruct a solicitor, your agreement is directly with that firm. The solicitor is independently responsible for legal advice, investigating the evidence, assessing limitation periods, pursuing the claim and explaining the funding terms.
Your information and permission
We will not pass your personal information to a panel solicitor without your permission. We may need to process information you provide to respond to your enquiry, operate our services and comply with legal obligations. Medical enquiries can include sensitive health information, which requires additional safeguards. Please read our Privacy Policy for information about data processing, lawful bases, rights and service providers. If you contact us on someone else’s behalf, please ensure you have appropriate authority to share their information.
Withdrawing or cancelling
You can withdraw your enquiry, decline a proposed solicitor or stop using our assessment and introduction service at any time without charge from Flybell Limited. If you have already entered into an agreement with a solicitor, the solicitor’s own cancellation terms and applicable legal rights will apply. Withdrawal does not necessarily require deletion of records that we are legally required or entitled to retain.
Claim assessments and time limits
An initial assessment is not a legal opinion or a guarantee that a claim will succeed. Medical negligence claims have legal time limits. In England and Wales the usual period is three years from the relevant event or date of knowledge, with exceptions including for children and people who lack mental capacity. Contacting us does not stop the limitation clock; obtain advice from a qualified solicitor promptly.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact enquiries@medicalnegligenceconsultants.co.uk or call 0800 612 4970. We will handle complaints in accordance with our applicable FCA obligations and explain any relevant right to escalate an unresolved complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Complaints about a solicitor’s legal services should be raised with that firm, which will explain its own complaints process and any right to contact the Legal Ombudsman.
Website information and external links
Information on this website is general guidance, not personalised legal or medical advice. We take reasonable steps to maintain accuracy but cannot guarantee that all content is complete or current. Links to external websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Liability and statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your statutory rights remain unaffected. Flybell Limited remains responsible for its own legal and regulatory obligations; any instructed solicitor is separately responsible for the legal services it agrees to provide.
Privacy, cookies and updates
Please read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. We may update these terms when our services or legal obligations change. The current version will appear on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer rights and applicable jurisdiction rules.
